The Wave is a silver brooch designed to fasten the "capuchas".
The traditional capuchas are used open or wraparound like a shawl. However we felt that it would make sense to find an alternative way to fasten them in order to achieve more comfortable and versatile usages.
It was designed in partnership with Lia Gonçalves, a Portuguese jewellery designer who handcraft pieces of minimalistic aesthetics while deeply engaged with functionality.
Inspired by the undulating "burel" embroideries of our 1st collection, we developed a solution which is strong enough to hold the weight of the burel, whereas its delicate wavy shape gives a sophisticated touch to our capes.
Each one of these pieces is unique since they are handmade and their final look can vary in the wave’s shape.
