2018 / identity / merchandising / music
The first festival of Forró dance in Porto, held over three days, offered classes, workshops, and dances as well as showing the city to the participants.
Inspired by the traditional iconography of the north-east of Brazil, and its popular literature, we designed a typographical logo and a set of icons that represent both Porto and the world of traditional Forró.
Through a vivid colour palette and composition of lively patterns we built an identity intended to be contemporary, related to the city and to young visitors from all over the world, without losing the original relationship with Brazilian popular culture.
